Pinkie’s Feet

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Legs and Feet.

Legs and feet (shoes) can be quite interesting and fun to photograph.  Have you ever gone any where like a beach or a mall and just people watched.  Try it and just take photos of peoples legs and feet.  Totally anonymous and you can have a lot of fun.  Animals of course are always fun too.

Back in October 2009, when she was 14 years old and was coming to the end of her life, our youngest dog (of three) became blind and diabetic.  She had trouble getting around, but she could always find the warm, sunny spots in the house to lie down and take a nap.

I had named her Pinkie because of her feet; as one of 10 mostly black puppies, she was the only one to have the combination of black- and pink-colored pads.  As she grew up, strong and healthy, her legs carried her a lot of different places.  She was always ready to go for a walk with me — although I still remember one day, walking home from the lake, she decided the ground was too hot and she sat down and refused to walk another step!

She was also very resistant to anyone touching her feet, for any reason.  You could pet her, brush her coat, and play with her tail, but try to touch any of her feet and she would stubbornly pull them away.  Luckily we took her on enough hikes to keep her nails comfortably filed down!
