The theme of Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Things With Motors for House or Garage.

Anything that has a motor or engine is fair game this week.  See how creative you can get on this challenge.  Have fun with this challenge.

Over the years we’ve had a long succession of motorized machines of many kinds pass in and out of our lives — some we barely noticed and others we’ve made a serious focus of adoration. A few have a wonderful nostalgia around them in our memories.

Our newest house fan:

We seem to collect classic cars from the era when we were growing up, the late 1960s and 1970s. The blue Camaro has been gone for several years now, currently replaced by a 1969 Pontiac Firebird:

Then there are the lawnmowers. Even though our yard is fairly small, at times it’s felt like the place these machines go to die!

Back in July 2000, The Big Guy’s parents were relocating from the San Francisco Bay Area to Fort Worth,Texas, and they offered us their washer and dryer set. All we had to do was drive an hour or so down the freeway to retrieve them. I was sorry to see my in-laws leaving California, so I decided to record this momentous occasion. These particular machines are now long gone, but thanks to my camera, the memories of the day remain!

    • Thank you, Sally! When I shot those older pictures I had no idea how much they would mean to me one day! 😀
