Finding new trails always makes me happy, especially when they’re just a stone’s throw from my house. And when they show me an unexpected side of an already familiar place, I’m even happier. Maybe that’s why, when I came upon the shadow of this tree, it looked to me like a great big welcoming smile:

Two trails? Always a tough decision!

The trail I chose took me up along the top of the bluffs; then I came back via the lower trail. It was easy to see why that one is called Shady Trail.
