For this week’s photo challenge, let’s keep things fluid.
The water levels at Folsom Lake always fluctuate throughout the year, but they reached historically low levels in 2014 and 2015 due partially to drought. Since then, increased winter rain and Sierra snowfall has helped raise the lake level again. I visited Rattlesnake Bar, on the north fork of the American River near Auburn, in April 2016 and again in April 2018. It was interesting to see the difference that a bit of drought relief makes.
