Team BMC doing the hard work at the front
Last Thursday we were standing by the side of the road as the 2018 Amgen Tour of California departed the city of Folsom and climbed through the foothills of Placerville up into the Sierra Nevada mountains to South Lake Tahoe. Here are a few images from our front row seat along the Mormon Emigrant Trail.
American Tejay van Garderen wore the yellow jersey of overall race leader at this point; you can just see his shoulder on the right as he follows his BMC teammates up the climb
