High country
Not long ago I was lucky enough to discover a CD full of photos I haven’t seen in years — including these, which I shot during the summer of 2006 with my Nikon Coolpix 5700. We were on a hike in the Castle Peak area, just up the road from Donner Lake; and while we weren’t terribly far from Interstate 80, the landscape is so wild that it’s easy to feel you’re lost in the wilderness. Now that I’ve had a good look at these images, I wouldn’t mind going back for another visit.
