I guess I’m very lucky I finally made it to Fort Point last weekend. Although there was plenty of smoke in the air and we should have probably been wearing filtering masks, the conditions are even worse right now — to the point that many tourist spots have been closed until further notice.

Fort Point Closed Through Sunday, November 18 – Poor Air Quality
Due to poor air quality, park and concession operations are suspended at Fort Point, Alcatraz and Muir Woods. Warming Hut, Marin Headlands Visitor Center, Lands End Lookout, Point Bonita Lighthouse and the GG Bridge Welcome Center also will be closed — National Park Service website
