I see plenty of these tiny red plants popping up from between rocks on the Mississippi Bar trail, but I haven’t been able to identify them. They start out green and then transition to bright red, and they’re so small — no more than 1 mm across — that I’ve had a hard time getting down to shoot them. But their red coloring is so brilliant it always attract my eyes.
