Hole in one

Hiking along the shoreline at Folsom Lake, especially in the areas that are normally underwater, you never know what sort of fascinating landscape details you might find. I’m always especially curious about what’s inside those dark little caves and whether they’re naturally formed or man made.

I was surprised to find this hole in a granite boulder

The large boulders (left) at one end of this muddy channel hid a deep, dark hole

Who lives here? I couldn’t see any eyes shining from this small cave
