Redwood walk, Part 2
As I hiked along this unknown trail, following the Big Guy through the Kruse Rhododendron Preserve, I suddenly realized that the batteries in my trusty Finepix AX were about to die. I had decided to leave my two other cameras in the car, preferring to travel light this time; and although I had spare batteries for the Fuji, they were sitting uselessly in our motel room. Luckily, my phone camera takes reasonably good photos (it even has a manual mode, which I admit I don’t use as much as I should). Since this was an actual hike and not an opportunity to wander at my own slow pace, I had to content myself with a few snapshots. I’m pretty sure they don’t come close to doing justice to this beautiful redwood forest. All I can say is, if you ever have the opportunity to see the preserve for yourself, please go!
