Huntington Falls

This artificial waterfall on Stow Lake is yet another reason to fall in love with San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. After arriving in the park via Muni bus, I spent a fun weekday morning exploring the eastern half of the lake and its island. Even though there were plenty of other people around me on these popular hiking/running trails, at times I found myself completely alone, and I never really felt I was part of a throng of visitors. For much of my life I’ve thought of this San Francisco landmark merely as the location of the Japanese Tea Garden and the California Academy of Sciences, but  there’s so much of Golden Gate Park to discover!
