My next set of images from the Korea albums all relate to men, machinery, and a whole lot of mud. I shared a handful of similar photos back in late May 2022, when I first began digging into this stack of photo albums, but there are enough of them to take up the next couple of weeks. It’s impossible for me to tell if all the pictures depict a single event or more than one, but I’ve tried to sort through them so they (hopefully) form at least a vague outline of a story. My top photo shows some earth-moving work going along smoothly — but soon enough a problem develops in the form of a truck snarled in the mud, followed by a great deal of manual labor. And that’s only the beginning!
