I just returned from a couple of days staying in the small town of Rio Nido, on the Russian River in Sonoma County. Although I’ve never spent much time in the area, it’s incredibly beautiful. It’s also just a short drive from there to the coast. Gus and I both enjoyed our brief stay, including our walks up and down the neighborhood streets near our rented house. We found all sorts of cool details and a few very friendly folks along the way.
