Here are a few images from my visit to Rossmoor Bar this morning, on the south side of the American River in Rancho Cordova. While the bike and hiking trails that run alongside the river are pleasant enough, sometimes it’s more rewarding to break away from the crowds and follow your own path.

Wildlife

The theme for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Wildlife. Any kind of wildlife works in this challenge from apes to zebras.  Your animals can be found in their natural habitat, wild life preserves, or zoos.  If you are not around live animals you can photograph them from museum displays or find statues or carvings you can photograph.

Hallo, Rabbit

Milne I was doing a bit of power walking up the hill at a nearby park this morning when I noticed this cottontail foraging for breakfast. He seemed more curious than alarmed to see me… but since my heart rate was already elevated I didn’t really want to hang around and get better acquainted. Maybe next time!
