WPC: Numbers

The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge for the week of June 3, 2016.

Equations. Clock faces. Cash registers. Numbers are everywhere: this week, share a photo that puts them front and center.

As a rule, numbers and I don’t get along very well.  Most of the time, the thought of doing any sort of math causes me to break out in a cold sweat.  But since I love to knit, numbers and I must frequently call a truce and find a way to live with each other.

Especially when knitting a pattern for a lace shawl.

One half of the shawl and my stitch counter

Because there will be mistakes, and there will be counting.  Lots and lots of counting.

  1. Oh is this the Ashton shawlette? I finished knitting one recently(!) and this pattern looks suspiciously similar… 🙂
Regardless of what the pattern is, it looks beautiful so far!

    • Haha, well spotted — it is indeed the Ashton Shawlette! Thank you for the compliment; it’s a really lovely pattern. I’m inspired by all the beautiful projects I’ve seen on Ravelry. 🙂
