Instant birdbath
Every year at the end of summer, we cover our above-ground swimming pool with two plastic tarps. Today I set out to drain the collected rainwater off the top of the tarps, using a garden hose as a siphon. Having got the water flowing in the right direction, I placed the end of the hose on the ground in a small bare spot. What I didn’t realize was I had created a tiny bubbling bird bath that was nearly irresistible.
Next time I need to drain the pool cover, I’ll be sure to pick my spot carefully and set up a camera with a remote control!
