The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge for the week of April 12, 2017.
Much of photography is about discovery, and with discovery may come a surprise.
I was hiking along a deserted dirt road at 6:30 in the morning and eyeing the blackberry bushes on my right, hoping to spot a sweet snack or two. I just happened to raise my glance to the road ahead of me — and there she was. Standing frozen, feet together, her brown eyes wide with more curiousity than alarm.
We both held our ground, waiting to see who would make the first move. Have you ever tried to out-wait a deer? It’s tougher than you might think! I eventually backed away, and she turned onto a side trail and vanished into the brush.
