Turkey patrol

I found this small group of turkeys loitering near the entrance to California State Prison, Sacramento, located in Folsom. The sign in the background says “No public access. You are under surveillance” — but I never realized the State of California was using turkeys as prison guards! I was surprised by the lovely iridescent feathers:
