Memory Monday, Week 46

This past Saturday, Mom and I went to check out the annual Lambtown Festival in Dixon, so I thought this week I’d share some memories of the small herd of Barbados-mix sheep  she used to keep on her property. Initially they were there to take care of the out-of-control weed situation, but after awhile they became pets as well. And although we didn’t see any lambs the other day in Dixon — it’s the wrong time of year for that — I took these photos in April and May of 2002, so there were plenty of lambs… including Max, who had to be bottle fed since his mother wasn’t interested in looking after him.

Even when they had plenty to graze on, the flock was always interested in any extra “goodies” on offer.
