A view of the American River as it winds down from Folsom Dam

I was standing on a small hill just above a new portion of the Johnny Cash Trail when I spotted the American River lurking behind this sign. It wasn’t until later that I realized from this perspective I can see not only the American River Canyon but also Folsom’s 1893 Dam, Folsom Prison, Folsom Lake Crossing, AND part of Folsom Dam.

I’ve explored one or two parts of the Johnny Cash Trail in Folsom before, but today I finally got a chance to see the new bridge at Robber’s Ravine. I’ll be sharing more images from my visit very soon!
