Clover lover

IMG_4860

Growing up, I was used to seeing white clover growing in the springtime; it’s only fairly recently that I’ve noticed clover flowers tinged with pink and purple. Although the Trifolium pratense is not native to North America, it seems to be popping up more and more in the wild grass areas around Lake Natoma and Folsom Lake. I’m always drawn to it with my camera, and the bees and other nectar seekers seem to appreciate it too.
