I was trying out my 28-90 mm lens this morning and caught these images of the CSUS rowing teams practicing on Lake Natoma. It doesn’t have as much zoom as my Canon point-and-shoot (its 50x zoom is apparently equivalent to a 24-1200 mm lens). Still, I’m enjoying getting used to the feel of the new camera and lenses.
I like the image above because it gives a good sense of the steepness of the dirt trail as it takes a quick plunge down to the level of the lakeshore; notice the bike trail visible at the tip of the white walking stick. If I ever want a really good workout, I can descend this hill and then climb up it again!
