This week, I’m taking a look at another one of Huell’s TV series, Visiting. Most of these episodes are 30-minute segments focusing on interesting people, places, and businesses in Southern California. I’ve never seen any of these episodes, so I’m looking forward to discovering them right along with you!

I was especially drawn to this 1997 episode featuring Roy Murphy, who describes the hard work and persistence it takes to capture the many moods of nature with a camera. His photographer’s eye, along with a real love and respect for the natural world, has helped him produce an amazing number of unique and beautiful images over the years. After watching this episode, I’ve already learned a few things to help me in my own photography.

Spend the day with Roy Murphy, who’s been photographing the Angeles National Forest for the past 40 years. Huell goes deep into the heart of the magnificent mountain range that is our backyard.
