The Adventure Continues… Circus Trees
I noticed that the scheduled theme for Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge tomorrow is Tree Art, so it seemed a perfect time to share this episode of California’s Gold from 2004. In fact, this is one of those episodes I believed I’d already featured, because it’s so full of fun and amazing examples of tree art. Although the adventure starts out in Scotts Valley, the real payoff comes later in the show, when Huell pays a visit to Gilroy.
Set within 600 acres of rural countryside in Gilroy, California, Bonfante Gardens Family Theme Park combines beautiful gardens, amusement rides and a little bit of history to create a unique attraction. Bonfante Gardens is home to the last remaining trees created by an extraordinary man who literally wove Sycamores, Box Elders, Ash and Spanish Cork trees into works of art.

Now that is a different type of art than what I was thinking. But I so totally adore it. 😀
