Chicago 1957 — I originally shared these images back in December 2017 and January 2018. Every time I look through these pictures, my desire to visit Chicago and see the museum (and all the other sights) for myself gets stronger!

Re-creation of a coal mine shaft

This dollhouse, belonging to silent film star Colleen Moore, was built in 1928 and has been on display at the museum since 1949. It’s viewed by more than a million people each year and is estimated to be worth $7 million.
