Memory Monday, Week 121

August 2000 — More scenes from my mom’s visit to Albia, Iowa, where she got to meet and spend time with several family members for the first time.

Mom took flying lessons in Washington State as a teenager and earned her private pilot’s license, so she’s always ready to check out a small plane or two!

I love the photos she took of the inside of this house on North Clinton Street in downtown Albia. The building dates from 1890 and was originally a commercial property, converted to a townhouse at some point. This lady had such a wonderful collection of stuff decorating her living space.

The front door gives nothing away
