I was out on the north fork of Folsom Lake near Salmon Falls a few days ago when I stumbled upon the scene of some unknown critter’s personal Squash Festival. The more time I spent looking around, the more pieces I noticed, and I couldn’t help feeling sorry for the gardener. Hopefully there’s still a few more goodies left in the garden — although I can’t entirely blame the wildlife for giving in to the temptation of these colorful varieties of squash!
