Memory Monday: An offroad classic

When it comes to our TV, these days if the Big Guy isn’t watching a big-money bass fishing tournament, he’s tuned into the Motor Trend channel, watching the road tripping hosts of Roadkill and Roadkill Garage, or the technical talk on Engine Masters. So I’ve become used to seeing “ugly” cars in various states of repair, and this week’s images from the Korea albums fit right in. They are Willys Jeeps, and although I can’t say what year(s), my guess is somewhere in the 1950s. At first I thought they were images of a work in progress on only one vehicle — but there’s definitely more than one of them! Ken W. must have really loved the classic Willys Jeep because he spent a lot of time working on these classic beauties, restoring them, driving them, and photographing them. In fact, there were so many different photos of these off-road machines that I had trouble picking only a few for today’s post. Believe me, this is only a tiny fraction of the thick stack of Willys Jeep prints.
