Taking a walk

The Cliffs Park, Southlake

Even when I have a car available on one of our trips out of town, I usually like to be able to get out and explore on foot in the area where we’re staying. Sometimes the location offers no safe place for walking; but on our recent visit to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in June I did manage to get out and investigate the neighborhood. Although it was a bit too warm and humid for me to wander very far that day, I still enjoyed my exploration and found some pockets of nature still surviving in the midst of continual urban expansion.
