Interior designs
I should be getting ready for an upcoming trip, but instead today I found myself bogging down in a few minor chores that are way, way down on my priority list — details I habitually ignore, promising myself to “get around to it one of these days.” Today I decided to reorganize my rather large yarn stash, which in turn led to digging through my trash can searching for a broken piece of something I thought I’d thrown out (I hadn’t), and fighting for much too long with the battery cover on my remote control. Now that it’s past lunchtime and I haven’t actually gotten anything accomplished today I thought I should take a break and enjoy some works of art.
You may not find these in any museum; in fact, you may walk right past and never notice them at all. Do you normally stop to peruse the artwork in other people’s homes? This week I have a collection of paintings and prints that I’ve seen many times, hanging in the house where my in-laws lived until moving to a much smaller apartment a few months ago. I decided to photograph these pictures last year because I think they are lovely, and I wasn’t sure if I would ever have a chance to see them again. I’m so glad that I did, because even now, gazing at them brings back wonderful memories of all the time I’ve spent with them in their home.
