Clovis is a classic small California town, founded back in 1891 and now growing beyond anything Mr. Clovis Cole could have imagined. I’ve never spent much time in this part of the state, but if you’ve ever traveled to the southern Sierra near Huntington or Shaver lakes you would have passed right through Clovis — just east of Fresno — on Highway 168. Huell paid a visit a few years ago and found that the city of Clovis went through a serious process of finding the best way to properly preserve their historic town’s culture and rehabilitate the original buildings.

Huell travels to the town of Clovis to see firsthand how the community has embraced its old downtown buildings and how it’s gone to great pains to do a proper restoration.
