View from the porch
Back in mid March I was spending a lot of time enjoying the back porch as I nursed an injured foot at our small farmhouse in Keller, Texas. While newer houses had sprung up all around us, there remained enough open space to easily recall when this area north of Fort Worth still consisted primarily of wide open fields and grazing livestock. The house sits beside a narrow back road which still gets a fair amount of traffic during the morning and evening rush hours, and it’s only a short drive away from downtown Keller. Still, the porch was a peaceful place to relax, for me as well as for the local Green Anole lizards.
