The Pioneer Cabin Tree at Calaveras Big Trees fell during a storm on January 8, 2017

Going through the bits and pieces of my in-laws belongings since they both recently passed away, we found literally piles of photos. Some depict family history, and others — like the ones I’m sharing here — reflect their love of travel. Although many of the prints have little or no descriptions on the back, I do know that the Big Guy’s family loved visiting Calaveras Big Trees in Northern California; and his mother did a fair bit of traveling on her own, including a visit to Egypt.
