Salmon from the American River — 10/1/2017

First of all, I skipped my Monday posting last week, so there are a lot of photos from the Big Guy’s phone for the period of September 21 through October 2, covering 2017 through 2024. Since early autumn is prime fishing weather, most of the images were fish he caught either at Folsom Lake, the Delta, or the Sonoma/Mendocino coast. I tried to stick to the pictures showing the most variety and colors, especially of the ocean fish.

Secondly, I just wanted to note that the hat he’s wearing in the top photo was a gift from his big sister; it reads, “Missoula — a quaint little drinking town with a fishing problem.” Further down, you’ll find a picture of him wearing a yellow tee shirt (another gift from his sister) that says, “Life is Good — Gone Fishing.” He loved that shirt, and I do believe this is one of the very few photos of the Big Guy in which he is smiling and not holding a fish.
