My neighbor works so hard at tending her beautiful roses that it makes me sad she had to put this sign up on her fence. I hope the guilty party gets the message so we can all continue to enjoy the fruits of her labor.

Mallard pairs form long before the spring breeding season. Pairing takes place in the fall, but courtship can be seen all winter. Only the female incubates the eggs and takes care of the ducklings — All About Birds
The rock slide that has blocked the bike trail since January 2017 remains, but hikers and wildflowers will always find a way through.

I know I’ll see at least a couple of cats out and about if I go walking in the mornings. Some of them want nothing to do with me; a few are more than happy to let me pet them. And then there are those who condescend to pose for a brief photo shoot, like this gorgeous calico. But they won’t hesitate to let you know when your time is up!
