The theme for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Opposing Colors (blue/orange, yellow/purple, red/green).
Sadly, I failed to take note of the artists or titles of a couple of these paintings, but they were among my favorites at the deYoung in San Francisco and the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento earlier this year.
During the busiest years of the California Gold Rush the town of Coloma boasted more than 70 structures — but these days only a handful of buildings remain standing along Highway 49/Main Street in the Marshall Gold Discovery State Park.
