Time to rebuild

The bald eagles have returned to Lake Natoma and are now working on restoring the nest they’ve used for the last four years! I made a quick visit to the nest site this morning and was lucky enough to get some photos of the two of them working together to arrange the sticks they’ve collected.

Sunday afternoon fun

Sunday was my fourth outing as a volunteer at the bald eagle nest site; our job, which is coordinated by the Bureau of Reclamation, California State Parks, and local organization FOLFAN (Friends of Lakes Folsom and Natoma), is to help teach people using the trail about the eagles and keep an eye open for anybody disturbing the birds.
