The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge for the week of December 13, 2017. Show us your interpretation of upward movement. I didn’t get a chance to experience the Balloon Safari when I visited the San Diego Zoo Safari Park last December, but it made for an irresistible sight as it ascended 400 feet into the air.
Our recent drought is sadly still taking a toll on the trees around Negro Bar State Park and Mississippi Bar. It seems like every couple of weeks another big tree comes crashing down. It’s enough to keep me wary as I hike the trails!
It could be that after last night’s downpour, these pigeons are hoping to dry out their damp feathers. It might also be that they are waiting for the nice lady down the street to put out a pile of food. But who knows — maybe the birds are just enjoying this morning’s warm sunshine.
