All right, today wasn’t completely cloudy, although we did get some rain last night. In fact, the temperature felt wonderful to me, with just the right combination of breeze and sunshine. It was a perfect day for a two-hour walk, with an enthusiastic little Chihuahua for company, through streets I’ve never visited before.

And when I noticed these flowers near the end of our excursion I had the feeling they were enjoying the weather just as much as I was — unfurling splashy petals like kaleidoscopes waving in the breeze, with eager buds in the background waiting for their turn to burst open. Spring is not the only beautiful season!
