The Arizona-California border lies in the middle of the Colorado River

When Huell went in search of the southeast corner of California, he learned quite a lot about the fascinating history of the area. He met some colorful characters and enjoyed a unique dining experience at Lutes Casino. Huell also discovered the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area, where people are working very hard to mitigate damage to the Colorado River, a major source of water for both humans and wildlife. But the highlight of the trip was a visit to the historic and forbidding Yuma Territorial Prison.
