I keep going back to San Francisco on single-day trips, trying to capture some good images of Fort Point. My first trip was on a weekend during Fleet Week, and I came home with 82 shots on my memory card — which I somehow managed to lose in the ether while transferring them from camera to laptop. For my next attempt I chose a Tuesday, hoping the crowds would be thinner; I arrived at Fort Point only to realize the place is open to the public only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Since I’m too stubborn — or stupid — to give up, I’m now planning a third trip. In the meanwhile, since I couldn’t shoot Fort Point I made do with Battery Chamberlin. After all, it has a big gun! Which just happened to be completely covered by tarps on my visit. Of course.
