The blog archive has no “blurb” to go along with this week’s episode of California’s Gold, so I really had no idea what to expect when I started watching it. I’ll admit I know very little about Kern County and have only passed through on my way to and from Los Angeles —  but I guess I should have known better than to fear the episode would be boring!

Huell spent a week traveling from one end of Kern County to the other, and along the way he met a lot of great people and some pretty amazing animals too. I think you’ll enjoy this brief visit to one of the more obscure — but definitely not boring — counties in California.
