The Adventure Continues… Buried Treasure
Great news — the Chapman University’s Huell Howser archives site is back up and running again! This week I’m sharing one of the California’s Gold Classics, first aired in 1993. Huell’s travels take him from one end of California to the other, from Hollywood legend to a working gold mine, the Sixteen to One Mine. There are a lot of ups and downs in this episode!
Join Huell and explore the coastal town of Guadalupe, in Santa Barbara County, where the massive set from Cecil B. De Mille’s silent film epic, The Ten Commandments,” is buried; then journey to the Sierra County mining town of Alleghany and descend cavernous tunnels, 2200 feet below, for an adventure in search of gold.
