Treasures in the sand

Looking north on Bowling Ball Beach

Back in mid November I shared some images from our all-too-brief visit to Bowling Ball Beach, a place I would love to spend more time exploring. But even though we were there for less than an hour, I spent nearly the whole time crouching in the sand, admiring the colorful fragments of abalone and other sea shells strewn across one small section of the beach. Here are a few more to add to the ones I previously shared; and I’ll save the remainder for another day.

Up close and personal with the large, slippery rocks at the south end of the beach

I’d love to know what made these marks in the sand
