Paddle or wade

Last Friday I wrote about Bob, the Chinese Swan Goose. Although he’s gone, there is always plenty of wildlife in and around the ponds of this North Texas neighborhood. They are generally shy of anyone getting too close, and yet it’s very easy to observe the local ducks, geese, and larger wading birds. I shot these photos with my 75-300mm lens. If I had it to do over again (and hopefully I will), I would have packed my 600mm lens along on the trip!
