Crossroads of the World
I spotted this seriously faded sign in August 2022 on the site of the Key Klub, first opened in the late 1940s or early 1950s, Lower Nob Hill. The name has recently been brought back to life in the guise of a new restaurant space — temporarily at least, as the building is due to be razed for redevelopment. This Flickr page shows how the sign looked back in October 2015. The ellipse had a green background with white letters reading “Crossroads of the World.”
