August flashback

As I write this, it seems that winter has returned for another round of rain, snow, sleet, hail, and everything in between — not only in my neck of the woods but all around the continental US. Going on vacation in the coastal redwoods may not have been the greatest idea right now, but we were eager to escape from our four walls. In any case, I thought it would be nice today to look back at photos I shot on a walk around my neighborhood one morning in early August last year. Back then I was wishing to escape from the summer heat. I’m sure it won’t be too long before I start looking back longingly at February’s crazy weather!
