Memory Monday: Looking back at Zack
For the last few months of his life in 1993, our Zack (also called Zeno) was an only dog. He had a tough time getting used to the loss of Phoebe, the pitbull who was like a mother to him. Despite his lifelong health problems, we always took Zack on outdoor adventures, and he would follow the Big Guy everywhere, no matter how precarious the footing. He never took any interest in fishing (as our Dobermann-Rottweiler Buster did later on). He also had a fear of going swimming, thanks to taking a tumble into a shallow mountain stream as a puppy; but he was determined to stick close by and not be left behind. I may have shared one or two of these images back in 2017. They were shot during the summer of 1993 at Folsom Lake and the Sonoma coast.
