In old Grapevine

We were in Grapevine, Texas, on business on this particular afternoon in June 2025, and the weather was quite warm. So while there wasn’t time for a lot of sightseeing, I did manage to take a quick stroll down the street and take note of a few historical details. I later realized that I had been here at least once before, back in December 2016, when my father-in-law took us to lunch at Wilhoite’s. I didn’t shoot nearly enough photos back then, either.

That winged unicorn on the turret above the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau is a sculpture called “Imagine.” Dedicated in December 2015, it weighs 800 pounds, with a wingspan of 5 feet.
