The Big Guy at Manchester Beach, November 13, 2024

Exaxtly one year ago, I was on the Mendocino coast with the Big Guy for yet another fishing and hiking trip. During our stay, we spent a fair amount of time inside our rented house, staring out at the pouring rain and trying to keep the fire in our stove from going out. For a short time, we were even cut off by flooded roads both to the north and the south. So it was a relief when the rain subsided by late Wednesday afternoon and we were able to go out and explore the rather soggy trail down to Manchester Beach.
